One of our favorite summer hang out spots is Lake Anne Winery, and their summer schedule of events is better than ever. Even though your children may not be out of school quite yet and even though you may not have three months off in the near future, you can still begin your celebrations of the warmer season now.

The Virginia Renaissance Faire is now in full swing on the weekends at Lake Anna Winery. Each weekend has a different theme, and all are sure to please. This upcoming weekend is Pirate Weekend, followed by Military History Weekend and Celtic Weekend. Attendees will enjoy plenty of merriment as they watch dancers, nobles, merchants, and peasants in an English Village, or as they watch an archery demonstration. Shopping, educational activities, and other entertainment will also help festival goers step back in time and start their summers off with an exciting escape into the Renaissance.

Lake Anna Winery is also the place to be to kick off Lake season. On Memorial Day Weekend, join them on May 25th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to celebrate with live music, food from Gregory’s Grill, and wine by the glass or bottle. For just $10, you can dance the night away and take home a souvenir glass to remind you of the wonderful evening.

In June, keep your eye out for other Lake Anna Winery events, including “Here Comes Summer in the Vineyard” and their Fourth of July celebration. You won’t want to miss these Lake Anna events. In April, we’re planning on opening our third office location, which should correspond nicely with the opening of the much-anticipated Tim’s at Lake Anna.
